Music Music. This video is going to be for those who have two questions in regards to tax-exempt status and how to properly fill out a W-4. If you're being employed or going for a job and you want to file tax exempt, well first of all, section A through H, you don't want to fill out point blank period. As you can see in the description section and instructions section, you see where it says exemption from withholding. If you're exempt completely, only lines 1, 2, 3, 8, and 7 need to be filled out and signed for the form to be validated. The exemption for 2017 will expire on February 15, 2018, as published in 505 types withhold tax withholdings in estimated tax. You'll have to do an exemption form every year, everybody. So if you're employed, you want to do an exemption form every year because they do expire around the next fiscal year time period. Alright, so that's pretty much all that you have to do, just fill out the bottom portion and so on and date it. Alright, you're gonna put over at the end to the right side of part 7, exempt and for lines 5 and 6, the total number of allowances claimed has to be an additional amount if anyone's withheld from your paycheck has to be right, that's the employer-employee W-4.
