Instructions and Help about Will Form 8815 Preparation

Hey everybody welcome back to the channel in this video we're going to be sewing the college pattern 742 9 this is the dress that has to twist not in the front and we're going to be doing view a the one with no sleeves with the collar I think this dress is great on all body types are really the hope that you can sew you up one because I think it'd be great to have in your wardrobe for the view a we're going to need pieces one two three four and five I do also want to say when I do so many videos I highly recommend that you have your directions close by because in a video like this I will be saying a lot of things like lower left front upper left front and I also say make sure you look at your directions that way you can see exactly the pieces that I'm talking about because I don't want to confuse you at all so always make sure you have your directions close by another thing I want to note while I was sewing this video is how important things are how important snipping up to your circles are going to be so we're going to be snipping circles first we have to transfer them from our tissue paper so remember to transfer all your markings and they're not all so precise important too but once you I'm sorry once you transfer your markings you have to soul through them and then you have to snip up to the circle don't slip through the stitching that's so four important if you skip that step you won't be successful at making this trip so it's so important to transfer your markings and then to reinforce the circles and then snip to them so I think this about all is not hard at all I really would hope I do not confuse you if you do have any questions leave them below and now exit them as best as I can so after you have your pieces cut out let's start sewing alright everybody so the first step to making this dress is to put reinforced stitching for our large circles on the right side you should have two large circles we need to reinforce those and on the other corner of the right side you should just have one and this is again piece number one your front piece so go ahead and reinforce those on the one with the one dot make sure that you pivot when you get to that and on the other side with the two circles you can just sew right through those so go ahead and put your reinforced stitching in and once you're done you need to clip up to the circles don't clip through them clip to them and once you have that done we're going to go below that one circle that we just clipped and we're going to do a narrow hem on that so go ahead and do that and on the other side we are going to do a narrow hem between the clippings we clip between it so we're going to take that little part that's left between it we're going to do a narrower hem between that making sure that you look at your diagram because it's it shows your picture of exactly what I'm talking about so when I do my cell with me videos make sure you have your pattern guide close by the diagrams will definitely help so next up we're going to take piece number two once you're done with your narrow hem and then we're going to put finishing on the cell facing but we're going to end at the large circle I'm going to be finishing my dress using my serger you can finish yours in any way that you want you can do serger you can do picking shears just make sure that you finish it what we're going to do next we're going to take piece two we still have piece two and we're going to do reinforced stitching at the two circles that are on that piece make sure that you clip through up not clip through them so I clip up to the circles and then also do a narrow hem with the part in the middle just like we did on piece number one the front piece of your choice so go ahead and do that and then still your narrow hem down once you have that done we're going to take piece three which is the lower left front and then we're going to put a basin close to the fold to turn up to him then put the basin close to the fold and put a blade basting 1/4 of an inch from the raw edge make sure though that you leave 6 inches open from the side seen so stop 6 inches before you get to the side seam I put a pen in mine just to remind me to stop you can use a pen as well if you like it helped me to remember not to go past it so go ahead and put basting stitches on the lower edge of your lower lip front piece number 3 once you have your basting stitch in place it should look like that with your 6 inches from the side seen open next we need to put a 5/8 of an inch and narrow hem on the front opening edge of that lower left front piece we're still working on piece 3 we just did the basting stitch at the hem and now we're just going to do a narrow hem on the front opening edge of it so again make sure that you're looking at your diagram you'll see exactly what I'm saying on piece 3 so go ahead and do your narrow hem and
